Integrated Medicaid and State Agency Mental Health and Substance Abuse Data Analysis and Technical Assistance

Project goals include offering focused technical support for states who wish to integrate Mental Health and Substance Abuse Agency data with Medicaid and other state data bases; promoting the use of integrated data through presentations at national conferences, participation in focused MH/SA workshops, and dissemination of tools and methods, such as data linking programs, and conducting policy-related research and analysis of the IDB data created under the original contract. Given the multiple settings in which Americans receive MH and SA treatments, data integration is vital for understanding patient usage patterns.
